Hi Vakhtang,
Perhaps there is some confusion. Carbonite Ultra 60 does not have 6MEs. In HD, it has up to 3MEs (6 keys per ME) with 4 miniMEs (2 keys per ME).
But your understanding of shared DVEs is correct. If you use more DVEs on one ME, there are less DVEs for other MEs/miniMEs.

On a 6 keyer ME you can have 6 2D DVE effects but remember on the switcher you have a total 12 Sharable 2D DVE's . So if one ME has 6 boxes that leaves you with 6 left over to share.
