    Trying to figure out how to wire XLR pinout to Weco connector for LTC input on Carbonite Ultra.  The manual shows the 3 connectors on the Weco as LTC-, LTC+, LTC-.  How does that translate to the XLR cable pinout?  Thanks.

    We would probably need to know what is providing the LTC source and then we can look at the pinout they provide..

    Just grabbing from ETC I see this

    Since we are showing 2 x LTC -  and 1 LTC Positive I would wire it pin 1 and pin 2 to the WECO LTC - and then go with Pin 3 to LTC +

    It that does not work .. then I would go for a 1-1 / 2-2 /3-3 since the Balanced to balances pinout has Com/ Shield on 1 and Signal - on 3 ..  with Signal + in the middle.

    Can I check if this worked out ? The manuals

    1. Neg
    2. Pos
    3. Neg

    Is that mean it's unbalanced? or is one of the pin's a GND ?

    Sorry I can't remember exactly what worked - but I think ground went to one of the negatives.

    All good, I've had success with

    1. GND
    2. POS
    3. NEG

    When using a Plura ELC, and a T568B Cable. the RJ45 Pin out =

    GND = 4 (BLUE)

    POS = 3 (WHITE / GREEN)

    NEG = 6 (GREEN)

    Just seeing this now.

    Yes this makes sense "GND" would be the ETC spec above of Common / Shield
    Then the Positive and the Negative.

    For an Unbalanced you would use "shield/gnd" on the Middle Pin (can also go to the first pin but not needed) and then place the Signal Wire on the third Pin -- as per the ETC spec above.

    Good to know, thank you for following up Simon.

    I had used an XLR cable.
