Hi Ross Community,
I am currently configuring a system using a Ross Ultritouch-2-HR panel and trying to control two third-party multiviewer matrices - Grass Valley (formerly SAM) MV-825.
Since these matrices are operating without a central controller (like GV Orbit), I have to rely on the SW-P-08 (Pro-Bel) protocol over TCP/IP (Port 2000). My ultimate goal is to build a Custom Panel in DashBoard to trigger Salvos (synchronous crosspoint switching across both matrices simultaneously).
Here is the specific roadblock I am facing: I successfully added the matrices in DashBoard via "Add -> TCP/IP DashBoard Connect or OGP Device" and selected the SW-P-08 protocol. The network connection seems fine. However, I am unable to configure the matrix dimensions (Inputs/Outputs).
When I right-click the device node in the Basic Tree, there is no "Configuration" or "Router Setup" option available. Because DashBoard doesn't know the size of the matrix, the device node won't expand to show the Destinations/Sources. Consequently, I cannot use the Visual Logic "Take Route" blocks, nor can I drag-and-drop OIDs to generate the params.setValue() code.
My questions for the experts here are:
-
Is there a specific Router Control Plugin (or license) I need to install in my DashBoard to unlock the configuration UI for 3rd-party SW-P-08 matrices? If so, how can I obtain it?
-
Alternatively, is there an ogScript workaround to either manually define the matrix dimensions in the background, or directly send raw SW-P-08 crosspoint commands (Hex/String) without needing the Basic Tree UI to expand?
Any advice, ogScript examples, or plugin guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time.
Best regards,
Jeese
