Where do I put the n+0 to start? This is whAt I get. Do I put in column, row or table? I tried putting it after column like this <n+0> but didn't work. After the 5 entries it started back from beginning. It didn't continue to other entries.
I have a scene group with 5 scenes. And fyi I'm using an excel worksheet. Thanks.

I'm sorry Red but I'm new to this and learning everyday. What is the N + X METHOD IN DATALINQ? I KNOW how to datalinq to excel. Is that doing it another way? Do you have a tutorial video for that?
thanks

No you don't use relid you use the n+x method in the datalinq connection. You only have 1 scene in your sequencer.

Ok. I can still use %RELID% that way for it to read all the other scenes? If I remember before I tried to do it that way, but relid didn't work for me to read all the other scenes.
So If I set up a scene group with 5 scenes attached to it how do it make it read 25 items on my excel sheet?
Thanks.

To make a crawl work using datalinq to an excel I'd recommend using the scene group method not the sequence group method.
With that method you'd only need 3-5 scene max to work through the entire datasheet no matter how many entries it had.

Hi Nicole,
I have another question about the crawl. LOL.
I have my text for my crawl datalinq to a excel worksheet. On my sequencer side of xpression I have 25 scenes. When we do our meetings we possibly can have 25 agenda items that the commissioners can vote on or more. For now I have 25 scenes. On my excel worksheet i only have 5 rows with text.
How do i get my crawl to start back from the beginning? After the 5th row in excel, my rows are blank and my crawl doesn't start from row 1 again.I noticed that its still reading all my other scenes in my sequencer even thou i dont have text on them, then it starts from the beginning like 45 seconds later.
Thank you.

I did that where i build a normal scene but when i played it my blue line graphic and logos all moved with the graphic. Yes, i can log in to see on your computer. Our Xpression is in use right now. Can we do a zoom meeting? You have Microsoft Teams?
Everything was correct in the Excel Sheet

I have time for a teams session when you have internet on your system - or i quickly show you on mine - email schindeldecker@gmx.de
When you want to use the dataloinq relid - forget the scenegroup in the layout build a normal scene datalinq it to your excel. make shure the group you have has the correct Take id - relid calculates group id minus takeid of the scene .- so incasee group is 100 and first scene is 101 - it is 100 - 101 makes row 1 in the excel.

If i drag the SCENE GROUP into the sequencer I should be able to play the scene 1 correct? How about if i datalinq other rows for the crawl? Then all other scenes should play right? I'm trying to do what university video QT 178 did using <%relid%> but it didn't work out for me. I never saw my text even thou it was datalinq. I'm sure i missed a step, but i've seen the video like 20 times. If i can't get it to work, i'll use it how i have it now.
Thank you Nicole.
Red.... The visual Logic worked GREAT! Thank you.

Hi Laz,
for me it looks like you are mixing up 2 things.
First way:
You can build a crawl with a SceneGroup - what later is on the squencer just 1 single scene.
There you have to put all other scenes as children into the scene group - so on picture 2 should be Scene 2 ... Scene 3... inside the SceneGroup. When you playout that scene then the background will be there. In Xpression University Video QT172 shows it.
Second way:
What you did in the sequencer is to make a group crawl and inside the group you used single scenes - that is another way to do it. But you still need a background scene out of this group maybe in another group. Put it on the same Framebuffer but one layer lower. You have to start both groups eather manualy or if you want exactly at the same time you can write a keyboard macro.
Greetins Nicole
