Hello

I am working on creating a custom DashBoard panel to streamline our production workflows by integrating control for multiple devices (switchers, servers, and cameras) into a single interface. However; I am running into challenges with scripting; particularly when triggering actions across devices using RossTalk and API calls.

Could anyone share tips / examples of effective scripting for multi-device control? Also; are there any best practices or common pitfalls to avoid when designing DashBoard panels for complex setups? I have checked https://help.rossvideo.com/mira/Topics/Setup/Server/DashBoard.html/cpq guide for reference but still need advice .

We have an extensive library of DashBoard tutorial videos located here: Ross University

A good sample of speaking to device-specific APIs can be found in this video Carbonite Control - Ross Video (it focuses on Carbonite switchers, but the design flow is similar for other devices).

RossTalk commands can be added by assigning a Task to a CustomPanel button. You'll need to refer to each product's documentation to see which RossTalk commands are supported, and their syntax.

This should give you a good start.
