  • 1.  custom panels in a webbrowser

    Hello,
is it possible to use a custom panel of Dashboard without having to install Dashboard (for example in a Webbrowser)?

I am currently buliding a panel which is triggering external APIs of LTN Scedule (a livestreaming playout tool).
    and it works pretty good.
But my hope is that I can hand the operators my panel so that they can manage their livestreams wherever they are without installing
    a software.

I know that you can publish buttons to be used in a browser but I heard somewhere that Dashboard can be used as a "server" hosting
    my panels

    Hi Matthias
Presently, the only mechanism to trigger scripts/access custom panels without installing DashBoard is to turn-on the HTTP Trigger Server. It looks like you're already familiar with this capability so I won't go into more detail about it here.

We do not currently have a  timeline for if/when more extensive web rendering capabilities will be made available so either installing the client or using the trigger server are your best options for now.

    Cheers
    James

    Hi James,
just to make sure. The HTTP Trigger Server is the mechanism to publish Buttons in a Web-Browser, which I mentioned in my originlal post, isnt´t it?

    Hi Matthias
Yes, that is the "HTTP Trigger Server" feature. The buttons that are accessible through a web browser can be attached to any piece of script you want to execute but the UI is static and there is no access getting or setting parameter values.
