Hi there
You can use Visual Logic to trigger a scene director. You will need to send a 1 to trigger the scene director to play (a Boolean will also work). Connect a text field (with either a 1 or 0) value to the Scene Director's Play Action. Then you'll need to trigger the 1 somehow, most likely a Button.

Update, I'm currently using Dashboard to send GPI to xpression and the GPI triggers the scene director. Seems to work, but would still be nice to Dashboard to send direct.

I'm new to Dashboard and have been building out a panel that controls xpression for many things. I"ve been able to tie things together using Dashboard Datalinq and ross talk commands built into Dashboard. I was wondering if there is a way to trigger a scene director in Xpression directly from Dashboard. The only way I've been able to control scene directors at the moment is using text objects in xpression and using datalinq values to trigger them. Thank you.
