Just trying to enumerate options here....

Can Dashboard parse xml data from external sources and display the values or act on the values for what I'm calling a HUD display?

There may be a number of outside devices that my users need to see the status in front of them.  I can easily create the XML files (or whatever is needed) to herd that data to a single location, what I need on Dashboard is a way to have indicators show up when the xml value shows true.  Or in some instances the actual value of the XML tag contents.

Any assistance is appreciated.
