    Xpression DataLinq Server version problem?

We are on 11 for DataLing but 9.5 for Xpression.

The user before me told everyone when you updated excel spreadsheet you needed to restart the server. You don't. When a spreadsheet is updated the queries reflect the change. This might be something that had to be done with versions less than 11? He carried out this policy because he didn't know it no longer required a restart?

Is this a version centric problem?

Please post screenshots of your Datalinq configuration for the excel sheet.

Also, is your Excel workbook shared?

I've had this issue too. Sharing the Excel Spreadsheet solved it for me.

You can find this solution by searching google for "Share Excel Spreadsheet"

Select "Review" tab then click the "Share Workbook" icon on right side of ribbon. Then select check mark, to share with all users, option in the popup window.

I attached an image found on google, that shows exactly what I did to solve my issue. Hope this helps you.

    Cheers

Just to add to this, if you are using newer versions of Exce, for this sharing menu you will need to to File > Options > Quick Access Toolbar and under "Choose commands from", switch the dropdown to All Commands and then look for Share Workbook (Legacy)

    Tamer,

Try setting the Refresh Every: option to 1 Second under the Connection tab in the Datalinq source configuration.
