I had a few screens that datalinq to an Excel (XLSX) on a remote PC with the same network. When show running, we keep encountering this issue: whenever we preview the screen, all the data (Text, Images, Logic that involved using data source, etc) are appearing correctly. However, when we take the screen ONAIR, the is 30%-40% chance that all the data, image, logic that has been datalinq will show empty ( We had a practice of unbinding the materials, clear all the text before show so that why empty).

We originally thought we were doing saving on Excel, which caused this issue; we adjusted our workflow to avoid saving during the moment we take ONAIR, wait longer before take ONAIR, but still this is happening. Now we resolved to use a script to abort on air if any of the data is empty.

I writing this message to ask for the solution or precaution that will help us to reduce this to be happen as it had cost us too much time to fix it and the script solution will cost us to redo most of the screen to implement this solution. I will provide more information just to get this solved.

The excel file that Datalinq Server connects to, is Datalinq connecting to a drive/network share? 

A workaround you could use (not suggestion this as a solution) is if you are version 12.0, you can right click on a take item and convert Datalinq fields to static text. So you could capture the correct data in the take item, convert it to static, before you took it to air. 

Might be use to see the setup config of your excel file in Datalinq as well.

The Excel located at another PC C driver which had shared with everyone on the network. This following are the info of the connection and XP.

Excel Location: Remote Pc within the same network, same router, same switcher, ping is stable, no heavy network transfer in this network
Datalink Method: ADODB Datalinq Configuration
Refresh Every : 0
Xp ver : 11.5
