  • 1.  Does anybody know how to set up 3-CH wipes on Ross Acuity?

    Posted 2 hours ago

Hi, I am using a Ross Acuity V15.0 and am trying to set up 3CH replay wipes. This replay wipe animates on and reveals the next source inside of it. I am using XPression Studio as a shot box and are recalled on two different frame buffer (SPOT1 & SPOT2) on downstream keyers (SPOT1 being the most downstream and firing the key/fill animation). The replay wipe on SPOT1 works fine, but my problem is setting up SPOT2. I have SPOT2 set up as a auto select key where its alpha is my replay ME. Not quite working because I see a outline of my replay ME when I turn the SPOT2 on. Any help or guidance is much appreciated! Thank you!

I uploaded a video of to a Google Drive link. The first wipe was from a camera to replay ME. The second wipe was from my replay ME to a camera. I have SPOT2 now set up as video = replay ME and alpha = SPOT2. When SPOT2 fires with the alpha of the wipe, my replay ME is shown and then keys to the next source.

    Thank you!

this looks like it is Not aligned -- as if the second clip is behind the first one.  so the wipe is Off.

Also usually with a 3 channel wipe -- you would split the key for that second pair to the source that is on the PST bus (you can do this with a Bus Follow that has the key video follow the pst bus -- or inside of the custom control you build it to do a Copy of the PST bus to the Key Bus -- that way you can also ensure that you get the split setup again if it is switching on you due to Auto Key follow.  just build the extra steps into the Custom.

I would also make sure you are not using Roll Clip for this -- instead make sure that is not in use and use the PLAY no STAT command if you are building these using VDCP control -- if you are using RossTalk you might consider looking at using the CUE command to cue each Channel and then the swap to have them fire that way.
