  • 1.  Effects time bug?

    Carbonite Ultra v7.0.0 TD2 v 1.5
Before I send this in as a bug, I want to make sure I understand what should happen.

I store 3 different effects each with a different rate. Effects Duration from Memory is lite brown in Attributes / Recall. With EFF DISS not lite on recall (PGM, MEM AI and EFF DISS all off), all 3 effects play back at the rate last entered using EFF RATE.

In Attributes / Store, the effects duration rate displays what I learned in the memory.

In reviewing the videos, I understood that in effects recall, if EFF DISS is not on, the effect will play back at the stored rate. This is not the case for me.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks...

Is this happening when recalling from the panel or from dashboard as well?

having effects rate set orange on the recall side should make it so each memory uses it's own stored value.

after each recall if you look on the store attributes page is is changing to the correct value there as it was stored in the first place?

Panel: The last entered EFF RATE becomes persistent across all memories with EFF DISS off during panel recall and Attributes / Recall / Effects Duration From Memory on (brown). So, if you built 3 effects, one with 30, one with 50, one with 200, they will all recall with 200, the last rate you entered.

When played through Dashboard, the rate entered displayed in Attributes / Store / Effects Duration becomes the rate for all memories with EFF DISS off during recall and Effects Duration From Memory on.

This persistent rate applies to all memories, all banks, regardless of where stored.

Forwarded to the dev and PV team.

I am away this week doing Acuity stuff so don't have access to a Carbonite to try it myself but I am sure it's a bug so they will look into it.

As a result, we need to set the correct Effect Rate inside the macro?

... and the Custom Control grows even longer!

We are pretty sure this is now resolved with version 7.1 that released last week.

Also of note if you are building this in a Custom control you can use the "STATE" event to insert the State of the switcher (there are attributes in the CC Menu for this as well) and not have to use your Memories up for these effects...
