Happy Monday All,
Alphas in Xpression can be a little challenging, and I stumbled across a hack I wanted to share. We use rounded corners on images on a lot of our content, and I figured out a solution where I lean into the texturing flexibility of a quad, but use a slab for the alpha. I discovered a way to invert the alpha by creating a die-cut of sorts with the slab, and wanted to share the win from the effort.
I've also got some scripting where you can change to value of the rounding with a drop down menu. Only real callout is to see the differences of the Alpha Blending modes of the two layer objects associated with each image.
Very cool. I've tried figuring this out too but failed.
This is epic. It makes my work so much easier. Thank you.
