Hi guys. Newbie question here - Trying to locate service a manual including circuits for a Ross Video RVS216A.
I used to work at the local TV station, who used this switcher in a video video editing and story preparation suite. From 2001 to 2020 staff were eventually reduced from approx 55 to 5!
Yes that was at least 10-15 years ago now for me. I was made redundant in 2012, I moved into capital city broadcast television as a transmitter maintenance technician now I have returned to the country again and joined the local radio club, who have a Ross RVS216A that they use in and for supporting community events. (its one incredible circle of life eh!) Unit has the TV station test and tag electrical sticker fixed with dates and name, that how I know its the same one. With the staff cuts and dismantling of everything including workshop + building sale and move, cant locate any of the documentation/manual library
Strangely I am then nominated to look at repairs to the unit to resolve an intermittent heat related fault. Camera switching works fine but operating affects with fading from one source to another can cause a black screen or lockup requiring reboot and cooldown. Of course I am armed with the old hair dryer and freezer spray (40+ years of TV/audio/video servicing under the belt) But prefer to have documentation at hand for parts/cct etc.
Wonder if anyone can help?

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice!
But in practice there is. :)
