  • 1.  How do I Export an xpression animating strap with text to an Avid - what codec?

    I need to export a number of animating straps to an avid - what codec do I need?  I've tried all the options available on the kit im using and they still cant see me in the edit - im currently sitting in a field on any outside broadcast so any infor/advice asap would be much appreciated

    A PNG (with alpha) sequence for each item would be your safest bet.

    Set up your item in Sequencer.
    Right-Click the item in the List...
      Select "Export Take  Item to"
        in Submenu select "Video"
    From here you have a dialog with lots of options.

    You might need to export to mpeg, and you can get FFMPEG from here: https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/

    When unpacked, you link the app ffmpeg.exe in Xpression by going to Edit > Preferences -- Advanced.
    You will see Video Export Settings / Path to FFMPEG.exe
