  • 1.  How many simultaneous RossTalk connections to Xpression are supported?

    Hi all,

    How many simultaneous RossTalk connections I can have open to one Xpression chassis?  I have a use case coming up where I want to have three operators, each using a Stream Deck, send RossTalk commands to an Xpression.

    Is it better to:
    1. Have three separate computers, each with one Stream Deck and driver software on the LAN, send the commands; or
    2. Have three Stream Decks connected to one computer on the LAN to send the commands?

    Hey Steve,

    Basically as many as you want, you can use different port numbers for each connection.

    The maximum number of RossTalk connections that XPression can handle probably isn't known, if you manage to exceed what XPression can handle let us know and we can probably optimize it to handle more connections. Just throwing a guess out there, I would guess XPression can handle in excess of 10+ RossTalk connections.

    I can confirm that I have worked on a machine with 5 plus with no issues at all.  This was on a tessera setup, but it is for the most part all the same.
