    Hi, I am currently using version 8.4 of Xpression. I watched a video from Ross University about using DataLinq to link a file path for headshots, but I do not see an option for Dynamic Material in my version. I attempted to link the headshot using the DataLinq option, but it did not work. Instead, I can obtain the headshot by creating a quad, then importing the picture into my materials and linking it to the quad. However, I would prefer to link the headshot using the file path method. How can i do it with an older version? . Thank you for your assistance.

    Hey Lazaro,

    I just loaded up 8.5 in my lab, you should be able to Datalinq the quad object you want the headshot to be applied to by going to:

    Object > Object Inspector > Datalinq >Material Source > Datalinq

    You can set the Quad object's material there. I set up a basic text Datalinq with the filepaths of 5 PNG files I had locally, and it applied the image to the quad without issue.
