  • 1.  How to Generate Random Numbers for Loudness Meter?

    Hey All,

I've got a loudness meter that is supposed to pull the reading/value from a venue. Long story short we are having issues with the device used to measure the loudness, but want to use/text the graphic portion.

Is there a way to generate a random number between two values that fluctuates up and down, and feed it to the datalinq? For example I would like for it to fluctuate between 90.0 and 110.0. The scene itself is already setup to read the data from the datalinq, just trying to find a way to get it some data.

    Any thoughts? Thanks!

    Hey Kurt,

You can use a waveform block in visual logic for this.

I have set the amplitude to 20 and then set an offset of 90 so it should now give you values between 90-110.
I set the shape to random.
I connected it to the scale in the image although that would be massive in this case you'd probably want the actual height property rather than the relative scale.
