  • 1.  How to use a variable in Ross Talk

    I'm trying to build a simple router control panel for a Evertz Router. 

    I can make a button that will route a specific source to a specific destination but what I want is a Button with will route a variable defined by another button to a variable defined by yet another button

    What I don't know is;

    1. How to create a variable in the dashboard
    2. How to set that Variable
    3. How to read that Variable
    4. How to create logic to display a point of information based on that variable.  
    5. How to set logic on the "take" button to not run if the "source" or "destination" variable is 0

    If anyone wants to know how I can post the code here.  After beating my head against the problem I found a solution but there may be a more elegant way to resolve it.
