Most likely over the next 6-18 months, we will introduce secure versions of the all the protocols used in XPression. This is an ongoing project to offer secure communications across the entire XPression product line.

Subject: HTTPS into Xpression
Hey all, I have a bit of a unique setup question that I'm hoping someone has experience with. We currently use an in-house VB application that controls Xpression through a local COM API and accepts commands from an external web server over a custom port. The issue is that the requests coming into the VB app are unsecured HTTP, and our company is requiring us to change that to use HTTPS. Does Xpression have any type of built in HTTPS or secured authentication support for remote commands, or will our focus have to be solely on rewriting the VB app to support secured commands? Interested in hearing from anyone with any experience of a similar situation requiring secured commands, even if it's not specifically the same type of situation.
Thanks,
