This query would be better posted in the Connectivity/Ultrix forum.
One possible reason you are getting exclamation marks is that the old layouts use a PIP size (or sizes) that is different from the currently selected PIP sizes.
In DashBoard, go to Ultriscape>Configuration. Verify if the selected PIP sizes are the same as the PIP sizes used in the layouts.
