Hey! I'm working on our American football graphics package for this upcoming season. I'm trying to set up a graphic to pull datalinq information for the latest scoring drive. I have all of that data coming in over an XML document already (pictured below), I just need help figuring out how to tell Xpression, "pull the most recent block of information".

    column: score<xxxx>

row: whichever stat I want to pull

I really just need to know what I should put within the <> next to score.

    Thank you!

    Hi John,

I can tell you how I'm doing it, but as you know, there is more than one way to skin a phoenix. First, I have a datalinq key in my scene named "idx". The value is set to max. This will ensure I pull the most recent drive data. I also use the datalinq key to pull the previous drive data, if needed. But I have found that I rarely, if ever, need to use it. Then on my text object for the stat, I am pulling

    Column: drives/drive<%idx%>

Row: plays (or yards or top)

I have found that the drive column only shows up in the xml file when the game is live. If you're trying to use an xml file for a completed game, you won't see the drive column. I believe I had my SID run a test game to set up my Drive Summary.

    I hope that helps.

What version of XPression are you running, because in a recent release they added the ability to do this.  I took a screenshot because I knew in my future this would be important.  So then it will always pull the latest drive. - Now I have not played around with this, but <max> should work.  But if you are doing a recap after kick off happens for the next drive, you might have to do <max-1>.

Thanks everyone! Using <max> worked for us. We are on Xpression 11.5.

<max-1> also works for anyone wondering. I appreciate the help!
