Initiating certain triggers dependent on Quiz Answer

    1) I have two templates that will have the same question and answers. Is the best way for everything to be the same info through an Excel sheet and datalinq? Or is there a way I can feed one's info to another template?

    2) With that being said, by default, the colors are not highlighted unless someone chooses an answer, which I am guessing with whatever answer they choose, they will re-drop in the template anyway?

    Am I overthinking I can create triggers for scene directors in the the one template depending on the answer they chose?
    Or will it be easier to make other templates (with respective animation controllers and scene directors) to animate the correct answer?

    Which then goes back to my first question, if I need to create 4 additional templates so they can drop whichever to display the correct answer, would datalinq be easy to have the same info across all the templates?

    I think it would be easy to do it all in once scene. Have you thought of using a dashboard to run the Quiz? You can do it all in one scene with different animation controllers. Let me know where I can help.

    Unfortunately we don't have Dashboard. I was trying to figure out other ways, but I think multiple templates might be the answer that will work with iNews and Rundown Manager.

    Dashboard is a free download from Ross. But I see what you mean.

    Thank you! I'll reach out to our engineer and see what we can do on our end to get Dashboard. I had no idea it was free.

    If you don't want to use dashboard (which I would recommend is a good solution here) you can use keyboard shortcuts to trigger graphics layers that could be on top of your main graphic.

    If you want to get more complex you can trigger scripts so that its contained within 1 scene. You can start learning to script here;

    You can also ask me for some specific examples if you decide to go that route.

    Adriana did you find out how to get Dashboard for free? I am interested in having that also.
    Thanks for any information or who to chat with.

    I can't recommend dashboard enough. I've been a fan and user for years. It's a very powerful human interface, and very fun to design for. Let me know if you need any tips on designing. Also, the "facility control" group is a support area for dashboard design.

    You can definitely fill in your answers via datalinq, whether you use an excel spreadsheet or a simple text document. This will allow you to complete each template without retyping.

    If your "bubble fills" are a simple cut on, that can be done using the visibility selection (published) in the same scene.

    If they're animated, you can create separate scenes for each bubble, and set to a separate layer for each answer.

    Hope this makes sense!
