    Hello!

    Is it safe to assume that in Dashboard/Carbonite, the Personality file stores all things located in the Personality menu and the Installation file holds all things in the Configuration file? 

    I was curious if I could break out the Multiview layout as a separate item.

    for the most part that is correct ... ViewControl does have the Icons and mapping for the CCs / events in the personality while the actual MV assignments for layout and mapping is in installation.

    MV is not separate from the Config -- but you could build a custom control that sets every aspect of you MV with the push of a button and thus in the CCs which can be saved separate from Pers and Config.
