  • 1.  Issue with playing a scene director

    Hi Everyone, I'm experiencing an issue with playing a scene using the Scene Director. At the end of the Scene Director, I have an event that jumps back to frame 10. It works as expected when I play it through the Scene Director. However, when I'm on the Sequence side and hit the take ID, it plays but stops before the last clip and freezes at that point. I originally created this in version 8, and now we are upgrading to version 11.5. Could this be related to it being created in version 8? I attached the project if someone wants to take a look. Thank you.

    you need to include the assets, make an app not an xpf.

    Hi,

    Most probabply, there is no issue with the scene or Xpression version.
    The scene might run well if the "jump" event is more in front of your scene.
    If you inspect the background material, you will find a condition to "Adjust Scene Director To Match Clip Length" - that's why the scene is adjusted/cuted durring the playout. Your background clip is shorter than your scene.

    Hi.

    Your takeitem duration is 00:02:50:02 and Scene Director stopped playback at 00:02:50:02 (5102 frames).

     
    The jump back event occurs at 00:03:05:24.


    Change the duration in the takeitem or add the following script to OnLine.

    Dim anim as xpSceneDirector
Self.GetDefaultSceneDirector(anim)
anim.PlayRange(0, 5600)
