  • 1.  Making Text Always Centered (with VL?)

    Posted 10-18-2023 14:57
    Hi all!
I am fairly new to Ross; our station just got it a little less than a month ago. I am attempting to have up to four lines of text on a scene that will auto-center, auto-squeeze, and wordwrap. I've gotten through most of the hurdles, but I am stuck at the auto-center part. Screenshots are attached. Looking for any advice -- thank you!!!

Vertically within the transparent white box.

Put the text in a group so you can position where you want it.

Take the bounding box height of the text and devide by 0.5 and put that to the position of the text y position.

The use the position of the group to put the text where you want it.

    Hi Simon!
Thank you so much for this advice. Unfortunately, I cannot put all of the text in the same group, so I am grouping by text colors (white title text + white info text, yellow title text + yellow info text). Still, that solution was working really well! However, I find that whenever I get to the fourth bounding box height equation in VL, the whole thing breaks and none of the VL works. Would you happen to have a solution for this issue? Is there maybe something wrong with my VL?
