  • 1.  Mira+ Replay - 7 channel ganged?

    Hello guys,

    I am new to the Mira+.
    Our production is mainly for broadcast of horse racing in Mauritius. However we also supply our services to to Stipendiary Stewards for race review in multi angle.
    We are currently upgrading our system to HD HDR and are also interested to revamp our old EVS server to the Mira+ with an 8 channel server .

    We have 7 camera angle to record.
    My concern is about the ganged functionality as we need to have all angles synchronized when the Stewards are reviewing the race so that they may switch to another angle to view the same action.

    So my question is do I need to have 2 player output to have all angles in sync ? ( meaning upgrading to a 12 channel server)
    Or only 1 player output?

    Hello,

    No need of a 12 channels Mira+. You can review the clips synch with 1 output. 

    With Mira. when you save a clip, you save all of the angles with the exact same timecode. So when you load the clip in you PGM you can easily change the angle by toggling the Soft Keys to change the angle. Again, these angles will be synch.

    If you need to review something before saving a clip, you can rewind with the Rotary Dial or the rewind button, you'll be in Playback mode and then use the Soft Keys to change the angle and again, all the angles will be perfectly synch.

    Hi Isabelle,

    We just finished our high school basketball finals and my replay ops had a question about watching all the angles rewind on screen rather than switching through one at a time on output 1 to find the right angle. Is that possible?
