  • 1.  MLE1 Keyer Rower Randomly Mirrors Aux Panel

Does anyone know of a reason why my MLE1 keyer row will sometimes randomly mirror my Aux Panel?

This has happened to me 3 times now, where I've gone to change a keyer input and it instead changes my Aux Panel source. Calling up a memory on MLE1 will stop it from happening.

This could potentially change a source in a monitor on air if it happens at the wrong time.

See the attached video for more context.

I'm working on an older Vision switcher, I don't have much more information on the switcher than that as I'm new at this TV station. If more information is needed I can ask our engineers.

In the Panel modules configuration the Aux panel is probably on the same internal Row as the Top Row (ME 1) is assigned to.  this can result in control of the Aux being sent to both Rows.

if you change which AUX is assigned on the Aux Panel is that changing the Aux on the ME 1 Row?

Thanks Les... As I replied to Paul on this thread, it turned out to be a CC that someone else created had a command to change that.

Deleted that line and it's fixed.

    Thanks!

As seen in the video, the ME1 row is already designated as AUX 1:1 in the display.  So the question is what is changing that assignment.  Pressing the select button next to the display?  Pressing an AUX on the touch screen? Or perhaps a CC that leaves it in the AUX designation.

I have my panels set up to change the color of the row to something obvious (bright pink) when it is designated for AUX control so it is immediately know when in AUX mode.

Thanks Paul... It turned out to be a CC that someone else created had a command to change that (The line was "Key Bus"). This is a CC that everyone has copied to their setups, so everyone had it, but no one I had talked with noticed.

Deleted that line and it's fixed.

    Thanks!
