I have a custom panel that I designed for controlling 5 ptz cameras:

I used existing widgets for several of the individual camera controls and my question is this: is there any way that I can modify individual components of an already existing widget? As an example, in the iris controls widget-is there any way I can change the color of the buttons to make it easier to locate them on the screen? I'd like to make all the 'open' buttons a lighter shade of green and the 'close' buttons a darker shade of red. similar to the way I made the 'one push auto focus' buttons purple.

    Steve,

It could be relatively straightforward or impossible!

If you open the widgetdescriptor file for your camera control (located in c:/DashBoard/widgets), is it plain text or random-looking junk?

If you can read it, then the file is just a wrapper for elements from a standard grid file and can be easily edited.
Change the button properties or even create a new style and assign that.

If encrypted, there is not much you can do.

Yeah, bummer, it's gibberish so I can't modify it. Thanks!
