Hi Jeff
This is possible. You will need to have an NK-IPS to power up the NK-GPI. You'll communicate to the GPI through the IPS.
In Ultrix in the Connections tab you will add a new connection under the servers section. Add a Ross NK Protocol server and point it at the IP address of the IPS and use port 5000.
To configure the GPI you will need to tell the GPI what commands to send when a GPI is triggered. You can set a single crosspoint or a macro of several crosspoints. Refer to the manual for more info there.
Hope that helps!

Subject: NK-GPI and Ultrix
Hi,
We have recently installed an Ultrix FR5 to replace our NK Router. For camera shading we have an NK-GPI that would trigger a crosspoint in the NK. Is there a way to do that with Ultrix using the NK-GPI? Can it somehow loop through the Carbonite and send a ross talk to the Ultrix? Are there third party devices on the market that can be used instead?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks,
