  • 1.  NK Series router - TSL?

    Posted 09-16-2025 15:37

Do the NK series routers pass TSL data?  I didn't see any options for that, and want to make sure I am not missing something.  Ideally, I'd like to have inputs on my Carbonite Ultra pull names from the NK-3G34 router.

    Thanks!

    Hi Aaron,

Unfortunately, no - the NK Series routers do not support the transmission of TSL (Tally Serial Link) protocol data. These routers are designed primarily for signal routing and lack the necessary metadata handling capabilities required for tally information.

To achieve TSL data pass-through or tally integration, you would need a tally management system such as UltriTally, which runs on UltriCoreBCS. UltriTally acts as a centralized tally controller, capable of ingesting TSL data (typically TSL v3.1 or v5) and distributing it to compatible devices across your infrastructure. It interfaces with routers, multiviewers, and production switchers to ensure tally states are accurately reflected throughout the system.

    Hope this helps.
