  • 1.  Panel Name on UltriTouch Panel

    Would like to add the Panel Name (either Text or a Graphic) to an UltriTouch Panel.  I used the PreBuilt to build the original Panel.  Is there  a place I can add it in or do I need to build one from scratch to achieve this?

    Reason for it is, I have 3-4 open panels on my UltriTouch, and want to see when they are in the small window view which one is which...

    Hi Brian

    Are you specifically talking about using an Ultrix push-button panel on an Ultritouch or are you referring to another type of Custom Panel?

    I don't believe the Ultrix Ultritouch layout has the option to show the name of the panel (though I can capture a feature request for this).  One workaround for now would be to use the <editor/> tag to embed the Ultrix panel into a Custom Panel and add any additional controls/information you would like to the pre-built UI.  This example panel embeds the editor and adds a label that will show the filename of the custom panel (though you could any text you would like here and even change the size/colour/position of the label).

    <abs contexttype="opengear" gridaspect="false" gridheight="203" gridwidth="1304" keepalive="false" touch="true" virtualheight="203" virtualwidth="1304">
       <editor bottom="0" left="0" objectid="Ultrix-50225481024&lt;br&gt;Slot 0&lt;br&gt;Ultrix:database:dbcontrol:panels:panel_3" right="0" top="0" widgetroot="true"/>
       <label height="21" left="2" name="%eval[ogscript.getFile(ogscript.getAttribute('srcurl')).getName()]%" style="txt-align:west;bg#0000007F;font:bold;" top="1" width="398"/>
    </abs>

    You can try this out for yourself - just replace the "objectid" attribute with the node ID of the panel you wish to embed (you will need to replace any "<" with "&lt;" when you copy/paste the node ID).  You can get the ID by right-clicking on the panel's node in the DashBoard tree and selecting "View Connection Settings":
