  • 1.  Performing a Squeezeback

I want to get some feedback on implementing a couple of squeezebacks.  I'm working with a Carbonite and have the squeezeback built on ME 1 and ME 2 is my P/P.

    1. Perform CC 1 which sets two sources of keyers in ME 1
    2. Set BG of ME 2 to the highest keyer from ME 1 (DSK 2 in this case)
    3. Take ME 1 on ME 2 BG so we are linked to the same source on both MEs.
    4. Perform CC 2 to squeeze back
    5. Grow Right or Left Full on ME 1
    6. Take same source as ME 1 BG, on ME 2 BG to link back to ME 2 on PP.

Is this the best way to do this?  It seems like I am limited by ME follows because I cannot set ME 1 DSK 1 source, to ME 2 BG, which would solve all my issues since it would follow the source I needed.

Not sure I fully follow your workflow, but I normally do squeezebacks in a single ME by saving memories and using Effects Dissolve. Save memories for your 2 box look, your left box full with the right box off the screen, and another for right box full with the left box off the screen. Then you can just recall the 3 memories to do squeezebacks.
