XPression is taking a lot of time before going on air if the Excelfile is still open. I do presume the info for your datalinq is coming from an Excel file. So be sure to close the file before going on air...

Understood, thank you for your help. We've been using the cue function and that seems to help a bit. I'm also unsure at this point if its a datalinq delay issue or an actual rendering issue (though I assume its render, as text-only lower thirds even struggle). I'll reach out to company for help. Thanks!

Only what I said, render to video, bring back in as flat file.
You have render views that kind of do what you want but still takes just as much rendering power.
There is the option to cue graphics which may help but I cannot say for sure.
You could try upgrading your hardware as a final option.

I mean that's the next step, but we're trying to see what we can do first. Is there a way to do what I am looking for?

Can you not ask them to optimise the project for your purposes?

We can't change anything about the package because it is updated/maintained by company and has weekly revisions. Hence, anything we do will get overwritten in a week. That's why we do everything (macros, etc) globally or via helper projects that we maintain.

I find it odd that you cannot edit them but you could record the graphic out of expression without the dynamic parts you need as a video clip and then make the graphic with that clip but you dynamic bits over it.

Why can't you edit them?

I agree with you, however I do not have the ability to alter any scenes or anything about the project. Any changes I need to have made globally on top of the existing, hence the reason for a prerender.

Sounds like you need to optimise your scene.
Are you using a lot of videos or objects or very large textures, what's causing the high performance usage?

Hi, we've been running up against the limits of performance with our XPression in our current project. Is there any way that I can pre-render a scene before it plays? Ideally, something I can put in scripting that will pre-render the animation before it plays onto the framebuffer. Thanks!
