  • 1.  Project Server: drive full options?

    Posted 03-13-2024 21:50

Hi, we have a Project Server machine which has a large D drive (1.6 TB), yet the Project Server Database seems to be stored on the much smaller C: Drive in C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Server. And the problem is the C: drive is now full.

First, is there any way to change the location of where it stores its files? I can't find a config item for that anywhere. Just switching it over to the D: drive would be easy, is it possible?

Second, is there any way to weed out older files, or is it supposed to automatically start purging the oldest files if storage is full? Our drive was down to about 76K free space today, which caused issues with failed publish process and slowness in the Management console. I freed up about 10 GB but that will not last long and I still can't publish a very large project at all (~187 GB).

What is the best way to handle this situation?

If you open a ticket with Ross Tech Support they can help migrate your storage folder from C to D.
