  • 1.  Question about Carbonite Ultra clock

    Posted 07-18-2025 05:42

    Hello all,

I have a question related to the internal clock of the Carbonite Ultra. I can find two clocks in the menus: one under Status/Power menu, and the other in Configuration/System/Global. The first one is in sync with our reference input. The second one can be edited manually.

My issue is that the second one is used in switcher logs and each day is a second off. And if I forget to update it regularly, sometimes is off by several minutes. And obviously it doesn't follow the daylight saving time, that adds another hour.

Is there a way to link it to the other clock, that is in sync?

    Thank you!

The Clock you see running in the Status menu is probably tied to the LTC port and your facility sync and clock.  The OS and Logs are not able to use that clock as they need to lock to the OS time and what the system clock is running off of.

We hope to have a release out later this year which will allow you to connect to an NTP for the system time.
TD Panels version 3.3.1 which is being released now has support for this.

That makes perfect sense.  I will wait for the update.

    Thank you,  Les!
