    Hi Everyone,

    I am not sure if this is the correct community to post this in but I am looking for some help. I am trying to send a command from ross talk to a Blackmagic design Constellation 2 m/e switcher. I just need it to do a simple cut to another input when I give it the crosstalk command from dashboard. Is this possible? Does ross talk have a command to send a UDP OSC command that the constellation can listen to? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    I don't know the method through Dashboard or CC's to trigger a BMD switcher but I would recommend a different approach that will give you a lot more flexibility and  power to trigger events on both devices.

    Put a Streamdeck on the network with both devices and run Companion software on a PC or MAC (or the same computer that is running Dashboard) and trigger events with the Streamdeck. In one button you can send commands to both devices. Now you have a shotbox to trigger CC's, Mem, crosspoint selections and other functions on both switchers.

    Using Companion is the way. It can do RossTalk, it has robust ATEM support and presets. And likely talks to 90% of your other networked production gear. But you don't need to use a StreamDeck. (Although if you don't have a physical panel for your ATEM, maybe get a StreamDeck...)
    It is very easy to use Companion's 'Surface emulator' on any network connected device. This includes a browser element in a Dashboard panel.
    Also relatively trivial to build custom dashboard panel buttons that trigger companion buttons, if you want a truly custom layout instead of a 'grid'.

    You probably could do a ton of work to build up the control commands for an ATEM in Dashboard directly, but Companion is so easy to run, set up, and program, that you can use your imagination to do things it isn't fully intended to do. Like using a long column of buttons as an audio meter.
    This screenshot is Dashboard/Companion integration at the most basic. Simple panel with two 'surface emulators'

    If you happen to have a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 with 4GB+ of ram, you can run companion directly on that as well.
    And for real fun, as both Dashboard and Companion are Linux compatible, you can get a Steam Deck to run your control software and power a StreamDeck!
