  • 1.  Ross Frontier object size issue

    Posted 05-17-2023 07:25

    hello everyone,
We are using unreal ver 4.17 with frontier engine, we are facing an issue with frontier render engine.
What happens is that, when we load the unreal scene in Frontier the object size scales to almost double of the object, however, however its xyz in position is calliberated with real world center point.
3D Max's object size is 100cm3 which is equal to 1 unit of unreal.
We have checked all the configuration many times but have been struggling with it.
have anyone encountered this issue or if can help.
we are looking forward to it.

    Hi Jibran,
Frontier/Unreal is probably set to inches (is default). Check this in the settings of Frontier and possibly also in UX VCC.

    Hey Gerard,
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to it.
Configurations on both ends are matched, (tried on CMs and Inches) but still, the issue is the same.
Object position is always exact but the issue is in scaling, my objects only get scaled (in all proportions) in my production environment.
I am unable to fix it.
    Any help is welcome.

    Hi guys,

In our case, when we have scaling problems, which fortunately rarely happens anymore, until now it has always been one of the cm/inches settings. There are multiple setting you need to set right so it is easy to forget one.
