    Hello,

We are using 2 redundant servers with a Virtual IP running Grass Valley NV9000 utilities. We are currently using the pro-bel Router Protocol to control our new Ross Ultrix FR12. I have connection to the Ultrix router (RTR-305) via NV9000. We are using Virtual tie lines going from our RTR 38 and the Ultrix. Using remote panels and the NV9000 GUI I can make routes within RTR-305 as well as the tielines going to RTR 305 from RTR 38. I cannot get routs from the Ultrix to our RTR 38. I have attached the transaction logs from the NV9000 utility. CPT39 (control point 39) is RTR-305 and the NV9000 doesnt seem to be getting a response to confirm the rout has been made from the Ultrix. Grass Valley support has dialed in and gone over configs and feel all should be working. I am reaching out to Ross to see if there is anything on the Ross side that needs to be configured specifically. We did have a Ross field tech configure the Ultrix but he had stated the Ultrix only listens for commands and does send any data.

    any help would be appreciated,

     Steve

    Hi Steve,
Your best bet is to give Ross Technical support a call. There are some parameters that can be set in the probel driver on the ultrix that could help.
It's also worth verifying that the protocol the NV9000 is using is the probel SW08 protocol and not the Probel SW02 version. Ultrix only supports SW08.
Take a look at the user guide pages 79 and up for more information. Here
