  • 1.  Ross Ultrix/Acuity Yellow Tally

    Hello Ross Hive Mind,

    We a running a Ross Accuity v13.0c, Ultrix v5.4.0

    Whenever a source is punched up on both Program and Preview, the tally goes Yellow in the Multiviewer.

    Having a Red or Green Tally doesn't bother our production crew but the yellow is really throwing some people off.

    I have flipped through all the manuals I can find and haven't found a solution.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Hi Rachel,

    There is a setting in the  the Ultriscape - Configuration - Tally Settings (top tabs second one) and the TSL 5 Tally Behaviour Settings..

    That has a setting to say "only light RED when it is both.."

    However we were just trying it here in the Singapore office and we do have what seems to be a bug that only the Tally Lamp indicators will adhere to this setting.  If you are doing a Box Tally or a Label Tally those seem to still be lighting the AMBER colour.

    So for now you would want to enable that feature but switch to using the tally lamps -- not border or label.

    also ultrix v5.4 is pretty old ;) and we are on version 7.2 now (though like I said still showing that bug...) and might be good to consider upgrading in the near future when able.

    Ultrix Acuity is going to be seeing version 15.0b release soon too!

    Thanks for the suggestions Les.

    I did try the Red Tallies only and as you said, still got the Amber Tally.  

    Our system is small so we only use the Box Tally/Label Tallies.

    I did end up hearing in a different thread that this is resolved with the latest update:

    "The option to only show red tally when both tallies are lit is now available for TSL UMD V5 (added in Ultrix v5.6.0), there are more developments in Ultrix tally integration coming in the Ultrix V7.3 release the next few weeks that adds more colour customisation too."

    I have seen that other thread as well -- however like I wrote above we set this up while I was in singapore with the above versions and we did see that there was still a bug 

    Yes the option for Version 5 to now have the Tally configuration is there -- but only Tally Lamps (so the Left and Right beside the label) will respect that setting -- Tally of the Label or the outer box was still performing the AMBER when that was set to report RED only.

    It was internally logged based on that feedback and they will look into it as well for one of the Ultrix Release versions.
