Hey guys "quick" question,

I would like Xpression to select one videoloop out of a selection of three each time the scene is played out. I have a base lower third with a small video next to it where the lower third stays the same but I want Xpression to randomly choose which video to use for this instance.

If there is a way to do this without scripting that would be great, and if not then I'd love to understand the script a bit better then just "paste this into..." since I'm not that well versed in scripting yet.

You could do this in visual logic.

use a random node and set the min/max values to give you a 3 way selection.

the random node would drive an input select.

then hook up your 3 different materials to the inputs and then that can be output to your object.

(sorry I'm on mobile atm so can't test or give you screenshots but hopefully this gets you in the right direction)

But how do I stop the Waveform from theoretically changing it's value while onair and swapping out the video playing?

It wouldn't be the way I would solve it, I was just saying what I think he meant, that's why I linked my solution after.
