Hello All,

I am attempting to get our Carbonite Black Plus to trigger tallies on our Sony FR7 PTZ cams over IP.  I have tried configuring using device control on the panel itself but am having no luck.  Has anyone else set this up with FR7s or any Sony camera?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks very much!

Hi Rick,

Unfortunately, based on what I found, you would not be able to directly send tally from the Carbonite to the FR7.

• The FR7 (with v3 software) supports TSL v5.0 (https://pro.sony/en_MX/products/ptz-network-cameras/ilme-fr7). Screenshot attached (FR7_TSL5_UMD.png).
• However, the Carbonite Black+ only supports sending TSL v3.1.

You would need a TSL converter to convert from v3.1 to v5.0.

Another option would be to physical connect cables from the Carbonite's Tally connector to the FR 7's OPTION connector. But this would not be over IP.
