  • 1.  Stream Deck for Xpression

    I would like to know where I can get the installer for the Elgato Steam Deck plug in for Xpression.  I have the deck and have installed the software for the deck, just don't know where to get the Xpression intaller for the deck.

    Hi Barrett, you can download this plugin with some of the support downloads, but they really hid it. Go to https://www.rossvideo.com > Learn & Support > Software Downloads > Acuity

    Then click on Acuity 9.2p Software Download. Then I just downloaded the smallest file, ACU_v9.2p_NoDB_NoSP.zip. Even though the download is for Acuity, it also works for XPression and has presets for all the XPression commands in it.

    Download and unzip, inside it there is a Stream Deck folder containing the plugin and a PDF that tells you about it.

    It works fine, the only thing is it's Windows-only, which is odd since RossTalk is a simple protocol easily called from Javascript/Node, which is what Stream Deck uses by default. So if you want to use it from a Mac or Linux, you're out of luck.

    I actually wrote my own cross-platform version for internal use at our company but I can't distribute it because it has some proprietary things in it that would be insecure to make public. But if I get time maybe I'll clean it up and post it.
