Hi David,
No its not possible to change the Tally behavior. The system is correctly tallying sources when they are visible on program. When the transition starts the dissolve Both BKGD and PST bus sources (and any keyer source that is included in transition) are active sources that are on air during the entire duration of the transition.
If you are building some intermediary Software that is translating the Tally Data into another Protocol to control and audio console maybe instead it could use the Yamaha Midi Protocol that we can send over IP and that could make doing AFV a little easier?

Subject: Tally behavior
In the process of setup for a new control room. Hoping to use Tally to drive audio operations for this room, but the way the tally triggers on a dissolve is causing my scripts to activate and deactivate at the wrong times. Seems like since the preset source tallies to red during the transition, it triggers the one script early, and since the program (going to become preset) source is tallied red until it's fully in the preset bus, it doesn't trigger the off script until then.
Can tally behavior be changed?
