  • 1.  Tria export settings + video frame rate

    Posted 07-02-2025 09:55

We use a Tria for live clip playback on-air and also to record our program feed. Our users then take the exported recording for posting on Youtube, etc.

I've noticed that the frame rate is dropping when we export the video through the export editor. The clip is being recorded in 1080i/59.94. But when I export the video, the exported video is 1080i/29.97.

Currently when we export video from Tria, we use XDCAM HD420 MOV. I have tried exporting using different options in the Export Type dropdown but none of the exported files I've tried are recognizable in Premiere Pro.

In short, how do I export files to maintain the 59.94 framerate?

    Hi Steven,

Mira display the format in Frequency and most of the editing system will display the format in Frames per Second.

    So 1080i 59.94Hz is the equivalent of 1080i 29.97fps.

Both are correct, it's just different conventions.

    Thanks,

    Isabelle
