under project shortcuts you can add a script and then use a GPI fire it.

Can someone explain where/how to make this happen from start to finish? Do I need to add this script to the GPI Mapping menu somehow? Ultimately, I'd like to have a dashboard button to disable and enable a specific take ID via the scheduler.
Thanks!

Try,
takeitem.Disabled = true

For the "takeitem.Disabled" do I need to set boolean values? The way I see what you put is that it should just disable the identified take item from the line above it. I got it to compile/run a Public Method(cue,execute,setfocus), but it won't compile/run "Disabled"?

dim takeitem as xpTakeItem
engine.Sequencer.GetTakeItemByID(1, takeitem)
takeitem.Disabled

So I would like to trigger the "disable Item"(Ctrl+D) command from a Dashboard button and I was thinking a GPI trigger would work but that command only listed under local shortcuts. is there a script I can use to set that command as a GPI? The idea is to run a group on loop and disable/enable specific take IDs from Dashboard. any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
