Hi Duncan,
I gave your script a try and it appears to work on my system (6.4)
The IP address of My Ultrix is 10.10.1.41 and i am using port 7788 for rosstalk
Make user that your Rosstalk service is turned on. System, Configuration,Connections, Services.
this is the code I used in my dashboard page.
<task tasktype="rosstalk">rosstalk.sendMessage('10.10.1.41', 7788, 'TXTLABEL ID:25; TEXT:CAM1; BGCLR:0x00,0x00,0x00; TXTCLR:0xFF,0xFF,0xFF');</task>
This is the same in Bitfocus Companion.
TXTLABEL ID:25; TEXT:CAM1; BGCLR:0x00,0x00,0x00; TXTCLR:0xFF,0xFF,0xFF

Subject: Ultriscape TXTLABEL RossTalk
Hello,
I have a Ultrix 6.4.0 with a few Ultriscape licences.
I normally use TSL 3.1 for UMD's and Tally, but I now have a case where I would like to update a UMD via Rosstalk.
Following the userguide I've added the UMD to the layout and set it to REMOTE with a ID value of 25
I issue the Rosstalk command from the userguide TXTLABEL ID:25; TEXT:CAM1; BGCLR:0x00,0x00,0x00; TXTCLR:0xFF,0xFF,0xFF
and I see Ultrix log that it has received that command but the value on the multiviewer head remains as "25"
I know Rosstalk is working as I can use the XPT command successfully.
Any pointers to where i am going wrong?
Thanks
Duncan
