    Hi,

    I want to setup my Ultrix Carbonite correctly for a 1080p50 HDR (HLG) production.
    When we keep the settings on SDR / BT709 the colors look correct. Like, camera signal (HLG BT2020) going in, is also going out the same way.
    When we put the settings on HLG / BT.2020 (UHD), a lot off conversions seems to be going on, but the output flagging in the Ultrix Router shows correctly.

    What would be the correct way to set this up?

    First step you are doing is correct -- you need to identify which format the "system" is running in 

    Then you need to identify what the incoming video sources are running in (this is how it knows when to use the PA/CC to do conversions as needed)

    As there is no "output" processing in ultrix carbonite SDPE outputs -- those are all running in the system expectation -- 1080p HLG 2020

    The reason for your issue is going to be that the switcher was probably thinking those inputs (which were HDR) were set as SDR or the wrong colour space.

    when set to SDR it "looked" correct for the inputs as the video was just going through and not being processed -- however your Media items and Matte generators and wipes would be wrong.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the fast reply!
    This was quite what we where thinking and looking for. The only thing is, we don't see the Dynamic Range and Color Gamut settings.

    But we just want the stuff that goes in, goes out. So without cc.
    Or do we need to enable it somewhere so we can see the Dynamic Range and Color Gammut options?

    It does not apply correction if they match .. the issue here is going to be that without the Proc Amp and CC licenses you also dont get the fields there to set what the incoming video signal is..

    What version are you running ?? -- can be found on the status page.

    We indeed don't have the Proc Amp en CC license. We're working on a full workflow, everything HDR HLG 1080p50 workflow.
    The switcher is running at version 9.2.2.19659.

    The signals should match but indeed, we can't select it on the inputs. But the signals we're checking with come directly from CCU and LSM which are 100% 1080p50 HDR HLG. Does this mean we need the licence to get this working, because we didn't want to do any conversion so didn't think we needed it.
