yes those are feeds through the switcher -- you will be losing switcher inputs - you will also be using outputs and not all outputs also generate pips
They are also fixed to the switcher format. So you can't use those to convert or sync anything that is not the switcher format.

Subject: Ultrix Carbonite Signal Processing Licensing
There are the PA/CC license and the FS/FC license for the Ultrix Carbonite SDPE. These give you 22 HD inputs worth of signal processing each. I assume these are only for the 22 switcher inputs and they don't apply to the general Ultrix router inputs.
But separately, there are UltriSync and UltriProc licenses per input for the Ultrix router.
Is there any reason to use relatively expensive UltriSync and UltriProc licenses if I have the PACC and FSFC licenses for the SDPE? Is there any difference in their use or any limits besides the fact that I would have to give up a switcher input and output to frame sync an input and output directly to records for example?
Any insight is much appreciated.
