  • 1.  Unable to start Carbonite simulator

    Hello,

    I wanted to try out the new Carbonite Ultra 60 so I've followed the instructions in the announcement  posted by Paul Seymour and tried to open it in VirtualBox. I did all the steps from the guide but I'm stuck at the login screen inside the virtual machine. There is no error message, the DashBoard simply doesn't open.  Is there a missing step or something?

    did you download the guide?

    That is the direct link..

    You are currently at the "command line" which is the Engine running ..  You don't use DashBoard there you use it installed normally on your PC.

    I would suggest you follow the guide as you probably also don't have the LAN setup up for a Bridge Network and you will want that done so you can connect the Dashboard from the Host windows PC into it

    Hi Les,

    Thanks for the answer.  I understand now.  I was following the guide but didn't realise I need to have the dashboard already running in the same network.  I will try again tomorrow or Monday.
